Teledyne Subsidiary Awarded Nuclear Fuel Part Contract

A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc. received a $92 million order for parts used to make fuel for commercial nuclear reactors. Teledyne Brown Engineering Inc. will deliver the 540 gas centrifuge parts to USEC Inc. through early 2011. Teledyne Brown is a subsidiary of Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies. The order follows a $19.4 million order from USEC for 36 of the gas centrifuge parts, a key component of a new gas centrifuge uranium enrichment plant which will supply fuel for commercial nuclear power plants. “This contract results from Teledyne Brown’s capabilities and reputation as a supplier of nuclear quality hardware,” said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies.
