Burbank-based TVN Entertainment has announced that it will immediately begin offering cable operators VOD content specifically targeted for Hispanic audiences. The programming, marketed under the name “Acceso On-Demand,” will be exclusively provided by TVN. Acceso features five different packages of Spanish-language programs that TVN claims are most popular with the Latino viewing audience. They include: children’s animation, programming targeted to Hispanic women, music and dance, movies and sports. TVN claimed it made the decision to offer Spanish-language content because more and more of its affiliates had been asking for it. In order to provide such programming, TVN will partner with New York-based Schramm Sports and Entertainment Inc.
