U.S. HealthWorks to Slash Urgent Care Fees

U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group has instituted a lower self-pay option for uninsured patients in light of the growing number of Americans without medical coverage. “By offering this affordable payment option, we can provide a convenient alternative for the residents of the communities we serve and help to alleviate the burden placed on some emergency rooms,” stated Joe Mallas, executive vice president of operations for U.S. Health Works. Patients may find the rates offered by centers in their area through the U.S. HealthWorks website. Additional charges will apply when other services, such as x-rays or lab work, are needed and when medications or supplies are dispensed, according to the company. Based in Valencia, U.S. HealthWorks operates 118 urgent care centers in 13 states. Nadra Kareem
