The board of directors and stakeholders of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley voted to change the name of the organization slightly as part of a re-branding campaign. At its annual meeting Aug. 27, the group approved taking on the name “The Valley Economic Alliance” and use “The Valley” moniker on all its events and marketing activities. Alliance officials said they believe the new strategy will position the Alliance better as the organization that connects Valley business activities. A change in organization logos was also approved. The new logo consists of five arrows pointing inward representing the five cities that make up the Alliance. President and CEO Bruce Ackerman said the organization will keep its previous marketing campaign “Valley of the Stars” for some of its activities.
