Banking First California Bank has brought Donald W. Macaulay onboard in the newly-created position of executive vice president and manager of their business banking division. He will also serve as a member of the executive management group and the officers’ loan committee. Macaulay has worked in the banking industry for 33 years, most recently in management positions with Union Bank of California and Community West Bank. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University in Rhode Island and is a graduate of Williams College School of Banking. Anne A. Williams of California United Bank was elected to fill a newly-created seat on the bank’s board of directors. Williams was instrumental in CUB’s establishment and formation and is currently the bank’s executive vice president, its chief operating officer and its chief credit officer. In addition to her work with CUB, she is a member of the Valley Economic Development Center’s loan committee and is on the board of directors for the Los Angeles Tennis Club, chairing the finance committee. Deathcare Indy Rebhun has been appointed as family service manager for Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks – Griffin Memorial Park. The 35-year Conejo Valley resident will focus on planning ahead seminars, pre-need planning, training, service and community outreach. Rebhun’s experience in sales and marketing, corporate training and organizational development was gained through her more than 15 years in the commercial banking industry. Healthcare Joe Davis has been hired by Aspyra, Inc as regional sales manager for the Southeastern U.S. region. Most recently, Davis served in similar positions with ScImage, Siemens Medical Solutions and Heartlab, Inc. Calabasas-based Aspyra develops technologies and services to improve patient care, working directly with customers through its own sales and service staff as well as through an extensive partner network. Richard H. Williams will be retiring from Iris International’s board, effective as of the date of the Company’s next annual shareholders meeting. He joined the IRIS Board in June 2003, was elected chairman in March 2004, and then was named independent lead director in November 2007. Insurance Tom Scabareti joins GNW-Evergreen Insurance Services, LLC as its new dedicated personal lines producer. He will be responsible for services provided to high net worth individuals throughout Southern California. Scabareti has spent nearly 30 years in the commercial insurance industry with companies such as Royal Insurance, Fireman’s Fund Insurance, Marsh & HRH, specializing in large casualty and risk management accounts. Non-Profit Cheryl Shramm is the new director of investor relations at the Valley Economic Alliance. She replaces Karen Pearson who has moved to Carlsbad. Shramm is a graduate of Woodbury University. Staffing Carrie Rogers has been hired as director of staffing services at Equis Financial Staffing of Calabasas. She previously owned CareerBizz, a staffing and recruiting company specializing in mid- to high-level accounting and technical professionals. Rogers gained her experience working in the past with Financial Resource Partners, Kforce Professional Staffing, Robert Half Finance & Accounting and the Encino branch of AOC. Technology Gil Amelio has joined the board of advisors for Chatsworth-based Provision Interactive Technologies Inc. Amelio has served as CEO and president of Apple Computer; president, CEO and chairman of National Semiconductor, and president of Rockwell Communication Systems, a unit of Rockwell International. Tourism Kim Weedmark brings 10 years of experience with Universal Studio Hollywood to her new position as vice president, group sales.Weedmark began her career with Universal as corporate sales manager and most recently held the position of director of regional sales and marketing.
