Stuart Waldman, who served as chief of staff for two members of the California Assembly, has been named as the new president of the Valley Industry & Commerce Association. Waldman replaces Brendan Huffman who announced in July that he was leaving the post after just two years. He will remain as a consultant during the transition. Waldman’s experience and first-hand knowledge of the political arena will be an asset to the association, said Chairman Greg Lippe. For 11 years Waldman, a graduate of Loyola Law School and California State University, Northridge, represented the Valley on the staffs of Assemblymembers Bob Hertzberg and Lloyd Levine. Waldman currently serves on the California Board of Accountancy, as well as the boards of the Mid Valley YMCA, Habitat for Humanity San Fernando/Santa Clarita Valleys and Grandparents as Parents.
