Monster in The Valley

Monster Beverage Corp. has purchased an industrial property at 510 Park Ave. in the city of San Fernando for $33.7 million. According to a CoStar report, CBRE’s Bennett Robinson brokered the sale on behalf of the seller, Overton Moore Properties. The industrial building, located at 510 Park Ave., technically sits on nearly 7.7 acres in Los Angeles County. The site was vacant at the time of the sale and reportedly sold for the land value, CoStar said. Monster intends to raze the existing 26,600-square-foot, single-story warehouse and redevelop the property with a new building. Operating out of Corona, Monster Beverage manufactures energy drinks such as Monster Energy, Relentless and Burn. The company was originally founded in Los Angeles as Hansen’s, a purveyor of juices and natural sodas, in 1935, and relocated to Corona in 1998.
