Bryant Riley, chairman of B. Riley Financial Inc. in Woodland Hills, has joined the board of Select Interior Concepts Inc., a distributor and installer of interior building materials based in Atlanta. B. Riley helped organize a 2017 capital raise for Select Interior, which trades on the Nasdaq. In a statement, Riley said he looks “forward to working with the existing directors and management team to help enhance shareholder value.” … Stacey Hoppe, vice president of corporate responsibility at Warner Bros. Entertainment in Burbank, is chairwoman for the annual fundraising gala at Hillsides, the Pasadena nonprofit that serves children through school-based mental health clinics, adoption services and foster care. Hoppe selected the gala theme of “The Roaring 2020s,” transporting donors to the Jazz Age. She has served on the Hillsides board since 2016. … Former Amgen Inc. executive Anthony Hooper has joined the board of MannKind Corp. in Westlake Village. He left Amgen in 2018 after nearly seven years as executive vice president of global commercial operations. Hooper will serve on MannKind’s audit committee. … Evan Gilroy has joined Venbrook Insurance Services in Woodland Hills as vice president of employee benefits. The California Lutheran University graduate will develop custom risk management solutions for businesses. … Los Angeles City Council declared Dec. 4 “Don Cheto Day” in honor of the top radio personality at LBI Media Inc. in Burbank. The whimsical character from Mexico, who has played on Spanish-language radio for 15 years, is portrayed by actor Juan Carlos Razo. “His unique sense of humor and cultural connection to the U.S. Latino population is second to none,” said Peter Markam, chief executive at LBI, who recently took over when the company changed hands during bankruptcy.
