Defense Department Recognizes Employer

Liana Tonoyan, chief information officer at Phonexa, a marketing automation firm in Glendale, has won the Patriotic Employer Award for her support of Ani Abrahamyan, a technical writer who also serves in the Air Force Reserves. The award is given by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, an agency in the Department of Defense, to supervisors who support service members with flexible scheduling, time off before or after deployment, leaves of absence or family care. “It’s important to recognize the employers who have and still support American Guard and Reserve members to complete their patriotic missions,” Abrahamyan said in a statement. “Liana has been an outstanding supervisor and mentor since my first day at Phonexa.” … Josh McMorrow is the new chief legal officer at Energy Vault, the Westlake Village renewable energy storage company. Last year, McMorrow led the initial public offering for Atotech Ltd. with a market capitalization of more than $4 billion. “Josh’s broad international experience spanning several relevant industries, combined with his deep expertise in transactional and regulatory matters, will be a tremendous asset to the company,” said Chief Executive Robert Piconi in a statement. … National Veterinary Associates in Agoura Hills has appointed Mark Dolfato as global chief development and strategy officer. In the new position, Dolfato will oversee expansion into new markets, partnerships and strategic acquisitions for the organization of more than 1,400 animal hospitals and pet resorts. “As a former member of NVA’s board of directors, Mark brings a deep understanding and appreciation for our mission to deliver world-class care and elevate the veterinary profession,” Chief Executive Greg Hartmann said in a statement. … House-flip financier Anchor Loans in Thousand Oaks has promoted Andrew Jewett and Tracey Williams to new positions as chief strategy officer and manager of corporate planning, respectively. Jewett will drive the company’s national expansion and new products. Williams will be responsible for project management. She formerly worked as a real estate investor in Calabasas with the flip of the former multi-million-dollar Hidden Hills estate of the late novelist and screenwriter William Blatty, which is currently owned by recording artist Drake.
