The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Conejo Valley has named Alissa Morton to its board of governors. Morton began volunteering with the nonprofit during her 28-year tenure as an accountant at Morton Capital Management, the investment firm founded by her late father Lon Morton. She continued fundraising for the Clubs after departing from Morton Capital in 2015. “Kids and their future are our future, and I want to know I play a positive role in that,” Morton said in a statement. “Being on the board of governors is incredibly meaningful to me for many reasons, but mostly because my father … was so involved in helping kids be the best they can be.” Morton also has served as a coach for the American Youth Soccer Organization and the American Youth Basketball Organizations. She has resided in the Conejo Valley for 25 years.
