Sinise Foundation Finds Financial Partner for GivingTuesday

The Gary Sinise Foundation, based in Woodland Hills, has teamed up with the CMG Foundation in Virginia for GivingTuesday. Right on the heels of the shopping madness that is Black Friday, GivingTuesday – held Dec. 3 this year – was created to give people the opportunity to donate to a nonprofit organization they care about during the holidays. CMG Foundation, the philanthropic arm of mortgage banker CMG Financial, will match all donations to the foundation supporting the nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders and their families, up to $200,000. “We’re pleased to announce CMG Foundation as our official GivingTuesday partner,” Elizabeth Fields, chief operating officer of the Gary Sinise Foundation, said in a statement. “Thanks to CMG Foundation’s support, the Gary Sinise Foundation will be able to continue addressing the needs of the men and women who defend our communities and our country, and improve the lives of America’s heroes and their families.” “We are excited to partner with the Gary Sinise Foundation on this year’s GivingTuesday initiative and are thrilled to provide a corporate matching donation that effectively doubles donor contributions in this year-end campaign,” said Christopher George, chief executive of CMG Financial, said in a statement. “Together, we believe we are making a difference.”
