Santa Clarita Contractor to Build School in Santa Maria

AMG & Associates, a Santa Clarita-based firm, has been awarded a $41 million contract to construct a new elementary school in Santa Maria. According to a Santa Clarita Valley Signal report, the public works general contractor recently announced that it was building the school in Enos Ranch in the Santa Maria-Bonita School District. This project marks AMG’s second job with the district since 2015. When completed in 2020, the school will consist of three new buildings spanning more than 67,000 square feet, with 26 classrooms designated toward 900 pupils, kindergarten through sixth grade. The school will include ample multipurpose space devoted to therapeutic learning and special education as well as two softball fields, four basketball courts and a soccer field. Construction is expected to commence soon.
