Tutor Perini Wins Virginia Highway Contract

Sylmar construction firm Tutor Perini Corp. has received a $107 million contract from the Virginia Department of Transportation for a highway improvement project in Norfolk, the company announced on Monday. The work involves widening the ramp connectors for the1nterstate 64/Route 246 Interchange, constructing four new bridges, realigning a creek and installing other structures, Tutor said. The project, already underway, is the firm’s second highway project in the area and Tutor expects to complete it by October 2019. The stock of Tutor Perini fell about 1 percent, or 18 cents, on Monday to close at $19.85 on the New York Stock Exchange.
