The companies cover a variety of alternative energy solutions with the majority specializing in solar technology. Ranging from 1 to 250 local employees, the services provided include consultation, distribution and installation. The No.1 company is SoalrWorld Industries America, a division of SolarWorld AG, one the world’s largest solar technology providerss. The largest non-solar company is CoolPlanet BioFuels, ranked at No. 3 with 35 local employees. – By Josh Dausch THE PACESETTER This year’s largest Alternative Energy Provider is SolarWorld Industries America, a public manufacturer and distributer of solar materials and systems, with local operations in Camarillo. The parent company is headquartered in Bonn, Germany, and services a worldwide customer base. SolarWorld was founded in 1988 and made its initial public offering in 1999.
