InterMedia Hires New VP

InterMedia Advertising has hired media public speaker Nick Cavarra as vice president of new business development. In his new position at the Woodland Hills agency, Cavarra will manage growth of the company’s direct response marketing services as well as the promotion of InterMedia’s proprietary media networks. For the past four years, Cavarra has run his digital marketing firm Social Punch Marketing in Valley Village. Also, he delivered speeches about digital marketing to trade groups including the United Shoe Retailer Association, Winery and Vintner’s Conference, Cause Marketing Forum, Southern California Broadcast Association and the Small Business Administration. Prior to running his own firm, Cavarra held business development positions at Fraser Communications and Incite, a division of Emmis Communications. “Too often, advertisers fall victim to Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity: to continue to do the same thing over and over while expecting different results,” Cavarra said in a statement. “The key to any marketing campaign’s success is to measure and optimize the effectiveness of every variable, and it quickly became apparent that these are InterMedia’s mantras.” Founded in 1974, InterMedia Advertising is part of InterMedia Group of Cos., an advertising, media, marketing, entertainment and communications organization that blends direct response advertising with general market techniques.
