Larian founded MGA Entertainment in 1979 and remains its chief executive. The Chatsworth-based MGA is the largest privately owned toy company and is known for its Bratz dolls and its Little Tikes brand, which makes products for the very young. Besides toys, the company manufactures electronics, home decor, stationery and sporting goods. Larian left Iran in 1971 at age 17 and moved to Los Angeles. Larian’s daughter, Jasmin Larian Hekmat, in February launched a collaboration with MGA’s Bratz dolls and her apparel brand, Cult Gaia. Under Larian’s guidance, MGA grew to an estimated $2 billion in annual revenue last year.
