Steele-Figueredo has served since November 2015 as the 14th president of Woodbury University, a private, nonprofit institution in Burbank. This past September, the university’s board voted to consolidate the operations of the school’s San Diego campus into its main campus in Burbank by the end of 2024. Prior to joining Woodbury, Steele-Figueredo was dean of San Jose State University’s Lucas College and Graduate School of Business. Before that, he held several strategic roles with Chevron Corp., including senior strategic planner and financial analyst on the Chevron-Gulf merger team, and president of Chevron Latin America. He has served on the boards of Better Burbank Corp. and Val*Pac, the Valley Political Action Committee.
