Greuel is an executive-in-residence at California State University – Northridge’s David Nazarian College of Business and Economics. She is best known for her political career with the city of Los Angeles, including serving as councilwoman for the Second District in the San Fernando Valley from 2002 to 2009 and then City Controller from 2009 to 2013. She ran for mayor in 2013 but lost to current Mayor Eric Garcetti. Her earlier career included positions at DreamWorks SKG and with the Department of Housing and Urban Development during the Clinton administration. She was also instrumental in opening the Discovery Cube Los Angeles museum in Sylmar and serves as vice chair.
