Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
Los Angeles County Supervisor Barger represents the county’s Fifth District, which includes over 2 million residents, 20 cities and 83 unincorporated communities in the Antelope, San Gabriel, San Fernando, Crescenta, and Santa Clarita valleys. Born and raised in San Gabriel Valley, Barger has a record of public policy experience spanning 35 years. She began her career as an intern in the office of Supervisor Michael Antonovich, rising through the ranks to the chief deputy position in 2001. She held that title until her election as supervisor in 2016. She also serves on the boards of Metrolink and the county’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
