California Assembly
Friedman was elected to the California State Assembly in November 2016 to represent the 43rd District, which encompasses the cities of Burbank, Glendale, La Cañada and the communities of La Crescenta and Montrose. Friedman’s legislative work is focused in three areas: addressing the housing affordability and homelessness crisis, combating climate change and protecting vulnerable communities. In 2020 she was appointed to serve as the chair for the Assembly Committee on Transportation. In addition to her work in the Assembly, she owns PlanetGlass.net, a business focused on midcentury modernist art glass and jewelry.
