Los Angeles County Business Federation
Hernandez held chief executive positions in newspapers across the country before being named the first female publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News in 2003. After leaving publishing, she helped found the Los Angeles County Business Federation, or BizFed, an alliance of 220 diverse business associations, representing 410,000 companies to strengthen the voice of business to achieve a healthy economy for all. BizFed’s office is in Commerce, but she lives in the San Fernando Valley and remains locally involved. She is on the board of Woodbury University Business School, the Valley Economic Alliance and Crosstown. Recent awards include CORO Chrystal Eagle, MoveLA Transformers and Star of the Valley from the Valley Economic Alliance.
