NetSol Appoints President of Chinese Operations

Netsol Technologies Inc. has named Hui Liang to the position of president of its Chinese operations. Liang succeeds and will report directly to Umar Qadri, who was promoted to regional chief operating officer of the Asia Pacific region for the Calabasas company, which makes software developer for vehicle and equipment leasing. Netsol Chief Executive Najeeb Ghauri said that with Liang’s appointment and Qadri’s promotion, the company finds itself in a strong position to expand its footprint in China and improve upon existing relationships with key customers in the region. “China remains one of the most important markets for Netsol as we continue to see ample opportunities for growth and demand for our next-generation product NFS Ascent,” Ghauri said in a statement. Liang’s appointment was announced Wednesday. On Friday, shares of Netsol (NTWK) closed up 42 cents, or nearly 7 percent, to $6.52 on the Nasdaq.
