Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. is shutting down a distribution warehouse in Valencia, resulting in the elimination of more than 200 jobs. Wesco, an aerospace parts and supply chain services provider in Valencia, has not determined the official date of the closure of the warehouse at 27727 Avenue Scott, according to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed with the state Employment Development Department. “The closure of the warehouse will take place in stages in order to ensure the smooth transition of those services, meaning there will be several reductions-in-force of the warehouse employees,” the notice said. “In total, there are 217 warehouse employees who will be terminated as a result of the Avenue Scott closing.” The company said it was closing the warehouse due to “changing business needs” and will relocate corporate functions at the site to its global headquarters at 24911 Avenue Stanford.
