Briefs: Simulations Plus, Superior Industries

Simulations Plus Inc., a developer of clinical trial software, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a distribution pact in China. The Lancaster company said the agreement with the Research Institute for Liver Diseases in Shanghai will help it penetrate the Chinese pharmaceutical market. “We expect this new (relationship) to help promote our consulting services in the areas of drug absorption, toxicity, metabolism, and drug-drug interactions,” said Mr. John DiBella, vice president for marketing and sales. Shares closed up 4 cents, or a fraction of a percent, to $6 on the Nasdaq. Aluminum wheel manufacturer Superior Industries International Inc. declared on Tuesday a dividend of 18 cents a share. The dividend from the Van Nuys company is payable on April 28 to shareholders of record as of April 14. Superior last paid an 18 cents dividend in January. Shares closed up 5 cents, or a fraction of a percent, to $19.55 on the New York Stock Exchange.
