Van Nuys-based Caesarstone USA Inc. announced it has been acquired by Caesarstone Global Corp. The company, which formerly operated under the name CaesarStone, manufactures quartz countertops and surfaces. Caesarstone Global is an Israeli company that was founded in 1987. The change in ownership came with changes in leadership. Yos Shiran, the CEO of the Caesarstone Group, serves as chairman of Caesarstone USA. Sagi Cohen, who had been the company’s chief operating officer, now serves as CEO. Caesarstone USA representatives said the acquisition is a sign of good things ahead. In a prepared statement, Shiran said the company will continue to “innovate and create the best surface available in the market, something we have been proud to do for more than 24 years.”
