Cal Lutheran Hosts Film Screening on Financial Crisis

This month Thousand Oaks-based California Lutheran University will host a screening of a documentary on the cause of the financial crisis. The film, “The Flaw,” chronicles the events leading up to the economic downturn and includes interviews with economists and Wall Street insiders. The screening will take place on Jan. 26 in the Lundring Events Center on the CLU campus. Following the film, Jamshid Damooei, chairman of CLU’s Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting, will be joined by other faculty members in leading a panel discussion on the film. The screening is part of CLU’s Reel Justice Film Series, which is sponsored by CLU’s Center for Equality and Justice and Center for Leader¬ship and Values and focuses on equality and social justice themes.
