Cal Lutheran Opening Business Incubator

California Lutheran University is opening an off-campus business incubator this summer in Westlake Village as part of an expansion of its School of Management, the college announced on Thursday. The college is taking 18,000 square feet at the Lindero Canyon Creative Campus office complex, where the school’s graduate programs in entrepreneurship and economics, as well as it Center for Economic Research and Forecasting, will relocate. The center will house four classrooms, five offices, the business incubator and a co-working space to promote collaboration among student entrepreneurs and members of the public. The space will feature a coffee bar and patios with fire pits. The school’s Community Counseling Center also is moving to the office complex. Plans are to build a training facility there for graduate psychology students. Cal Lutheran’s main campus is in Thousand Oaks. It has other satellite offices in Woodland Hills, Oxnard and Santa Maria, and a seminary in Berkeley.
