Cheesecake Factory announced Tuesday it is opening at the Westfield North County mall in Escondido, the chain’s first restaurant in north San Diego County. The restaurant has about 7,500 square feet and can accommodate 200 guests. The address is located at 200 E. Via Rancho Parkway. Cheesecake has three other locations in the San Diego area, one in Chula Vista and two in San Diego. The Calabasas company recently opened its second San Diego location at the Headquarters at Seaport District. The company currently has 179 casual dining restaurants under the Cheesecake Factory brand, including one restaurant in Puerto Rico and three in the Middle East under a licensing agreement. Shares of Cheesecake closed down 43 cents, or less than 1 percent, at $48.74 on the Nasdaq.
