Cherokee Inc. Partners with Japanese Retailer

Cherokee Inc., a Van Nuys-based apparel, accessories and footwear licensing company, announced the launch of Cherokee-branded products at Nishimatsuya Chain Co., Ltd, a specialty retailer of children’s and baby products in Japan. Part of the company’s global growth plan, Cherokee’s spring collection for baby and children will be available in 791 Nishimatsuya stores throughout the country as well as on the retailer’s website, effective December 21. In a prepared statement, Henry Stupp, CEO of Cherokee, said the company was “honored” to partner with the specialty retailer, which has been in business for 55 years. “We are confident that our Company’s commitment to quality and affordability, along with our compelling product assortment for children, will be embraced by the Japanese consumer,” Stupp said.
