DTS Inc. announced Wednesday that it has partnered with an Internet music service to add to its Play-Fi mobile app. The Calabasas audio technology company stands to add about 4 million listeners in 182 countries through the agreement with Deezer, a streaming service established in Paris. “We see Play-Fi as a global technology and this alliance with Deezer, the preeminent music service in over 180 countries, solidifies the technology’s position as a leading wireless solution worldwide,” DTS Chief Operating Officer Brian Towne said in a prepared statement. Deezer’s subscribers will be able to stream music from Android, iOS and Windows PC devices to Play-Fi-enabled products, which operate over Wi-Fi. Shares of DTS gained 27 cents, or 1.3 percent, to close at $21.55 on the Nasdaq.
