Mastro’s Steakhouse Sold

High-end steakhouse Mastro’s Restaurants LLC has been sold to Landry’s Inc. of Houston. Landry’s acquired all of the equity interests of the Woodland Hills company, which included those of the founding Mastro family, in late May. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Landry’s Chief Executive Tilman Fertitta said the purchase will come with no major changes to the business. “Business will continue as usual without any changes visible to the customer, and I look forward to helping the management team continue to grow the brand with three new planned unit openings over the next 15 months,” he said to Nation’s Restaurant News. Landry’s owns and operates a number of different restaurant and hospitality businesses, including Landry’s Seafood and Rainforest Café and the Golden Nugget Casinos and Hotels. Mastro’s operates one outlet in the greater Valley region in Thousand Oaks, in addition to units in Beverly Hills and Costa Mesa.
