Mixed-Use Project in Van Nuys Proposed

Van Nuys builder and developer Ketter Construction has filed a proposed development with Los Angeles City Planning Department for a mixed-use destination at a 1.29-acre site in Van Nuys, to break ground in February for a 15-month-long construction cycle. According to Urbanize.LA, the contemporary design building, to be erected at 6569 Van Nuys Blvd. at Kittridge Street, will include six stories of residential and retail, with 174 apartments (studios, one- and two-bedroom spaces, including 10 very-low-income units) to loom over approximately 18,400 square feet of ground-floor retail and 400 parking spaces. Amenities will include a swimming pool courtyard, outdoor decks and a fitness center. Ketter Construction has been prolific of late, in various stages of developing a plethora of mixed-use and multifamily projects, including another Van Nuys project, a 23-unit apartment building at 13429 Vanowen St.; a 343-unit independent senior living complex at 14801 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks; and other developments throughout Los Angeles and Beverly Hills.
