Dr. Zouheir H. Elias has been elected as the new chief of staff at Northridge Hospital Medical Center. In that position Elias will enforce medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and will serve as Chair of the Medical Executive Committee. Elias, a cardiologist, is an instructor at UCLA and the College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona. He was chairman of the medical center’s department of cardiology from 1998 until 2010. “It’s an honor to serve as the Chief of Staff and I look forward to working closely with the exceptional medical staff—each of whom is committed to providing compassionate and safe care while upholding our longstanding tradition of offering patients unprecedented clinical excellence,” Elias said in a prepared statement.
