Patxi’s Pizza Franchise to Enter Valley Market

Bay area franchise Patxi’s Pizza is entering the San Fernando Valley with a soon-to-open restaurant in Porter Ranch. The location will open July 27 in Suite 100 at The Vineyards at Porter Ranch shopping center. Due to restrictions resulting from a surge in COVID-19 cases throughout L.A. County, the new Patxi’s will debut without its 80-person indoor dining room. However, a 40-person outdoor patio area will be open for customers. The restaurant will also run takeout and delivery orders. The company said the new location will be owned and operated by an experienced franchise duo from Porter Ranch, but did not disclose their names. The Porter Ranch outlet will be Patxi’s second location in the L.A. market, following one downtown. The chain has additional locations in San Diego, Santa Barbara, the Bay Area, Seattle and Colorado. Patxi’s was founded in 2004 in Palo Alto and is now headquartered in Sausalito. In 2018, it was acquired by Elite Restaurant Group, a multi-concept operator in L.A. that purchases struggling chains and turns them around. Elite also owns Marie Callender’s, Gigi’s Cupcakes, gourmet burger chain Slater’s 50/50 and fast-casual Mediterranean concept Daphne’s.
