Wesco CEO Retires

Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. announced on Monday that Randy Snyder will retire as chief executive but continue in the role of chairman, effective immediately. The Valencia company, which supplies parts to aircraft manufacturers, said its board has appointed Hal Weinstein as interim chief executive during the search for a permanent replacement. Weinstein served as executive vice president of sales and marketing, but will postpone his previously announced retirement to take on the interim role. “It has been a great privilege to help lead the growth and success of Wesco Aircraft over the past 37 years,” Snyder said in a statement. “With Hal assuming the role of Interim CEO, I am confident Wesco Aircraft could not be in better hands.” Also, the company announced that board member Adam Palmer will head a new executive committee of the board. The committee will work closely with Weinstein and other members of senior management to steer the company’s strategic direction during the leadership transition. Shares closed down 29 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.65 on the New York Stock Exchange.
