Applied Natural Gas Fuels Inc. signed a long-term agreement with the Orange County Transportation Authority to supply liquefied natural gas to the authority’s bus fleet. Financial terms between Westlake Village-based Applied Natural Gas and the transit agency were not disclosed. The contract calls for Applied Natural Gas to provide an average of 400,000 gallons of liquefied natural gas per month for two fueling stations the authority owns and operates. “We are pleased to continue our relationship and enter into this new agreement with (authority) to provide its buses with economical and environmentally friendly liquefied natural gas fuel,” said Applied Natural Gas President and Chief Executive Cem Hacioglu in a prepared statement. Founded in 1995, Applied Natural Gas supplies to municipal and industrial customers in the Western U.S. and Mexico. The company operates a natural gas plant in Arizona, and public FleetStar fueling stations in Ontario and Barstow in California.
