Woodbury Names Local Business Leader to Board

Woodbury University in Burbank has named Greg Lippe, an accountant based in Simi Valley, to serve as chairman of its board of trustees. The private university, which has a student body of roughly 1,600 between its main campus in Burbank and satellite campus in San Diego, appointed Lippe to the post on Nov. 18 during the board’s regular meeting. Lippe, a former chairman of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, previously served two years as vice chair of the Woodbury board. He also serves as chairman of the board of advisors at Woodbury School of Business. His accounting firm, Gregory N. Lippe Accountancy Corp., has offices in Simi Valley and Woodland Hills. Lippe graduated from Woodbury in 1967. Lippe succeeds L.A.-based businessman Larry Hurwitz, who was named the board’s chairman emeritus. The board also elected Maria Mehranian, managing partner and chief financial officer of civil engineering firm Cordoba Corp. to the role of vice chair. She also is president of the Glendale-based Armenia Fund.
